Frequently asked questions

Do I need new hardware?

Not if you already have a UniFi gateway, a MikroTik router on RouterOS 7, or a TP-Link Omada controller with access points. Otherwise, pick a preconfigured kit: we set it up for your account and ship it ready to plug in.

How long does setup take?

Usually 10 to 15 minutes on existing hardware. With a kit, plug it into your internet connection and it's live.

Do I need to open ports or have a static IP?

No. MojoWiFi works behind normal internet connections: UniFi through your Ubiquiti account or a secure tunnel, MikroTik through a secure tunnel, Omada by RADIUS.

Is my private network safe?

Guests are put on a separate network that can't reach your own devices, and device credentials are stored encrypted.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The Free plan covers one location for as long as you like, and paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. No card is needed for either.

Can I charge guests for Wi-Fi?

Today you can sell or hand out voucher codes. Online payments for Wi-Fi access are coming soon.
